Solution Architect, engineer by origin

Where my experience comes from
I started writing commercial software in 2004. Over 22 years I moved from developer to team lead to architect, on platforms for logistics, the public sector, insurance and telco: a B2C platform for DPD in 14 countries, a portal for every labour office in Poland, contract management for INNIO. That engineering background is how I judge what a design will cost to build and to change.
What matters to me in architecture
Understanding the problem before drawing the boxes. Decisions written down with their trade-offs, so the next person knows why. And a design that is responsible beyond the code: towards the organisation, the business and the environment, which is what Responsible Software Architecture puts into four pillars.
What I work on now
I am a co-founder and board member of Arpeggia Studio, together with Sebastian Dąbkowski and Wojciech Kasa. Through Arpeggia I do product discovery, technology risk reviews and architecture for new platforms, run the Architectural Kata workshops and co-host the Walking & Talking podcast.
What clients and colleagues say
From fourteen written recommendations, grouped by what they keep coming back to.
What sets him apart is his ability to bridge the gap between technology and business.
He was able to fully understand where all of us were coming from, and at the same time offer new, futuristic, way-ahead-of-us kind of solutions.
Every level of the system, from the inside
Over 22 years I worked at each level of the C4 model, from the code up to the business context. Each one taught me what a decision costs one level further down.

Where I am today. I sit with founders, CTOs and boards before the money is spent: what to build, which vendor to trust, whether to rescue or replace. With AI as a tool, not an excuse.
